What a great weekend! Even though the snowfall on Long Island was over nine inches, it was not enough to cancel out Potholes Book Launch Party which was a success! We had a nice turn-out and sold quite a few books. I’m very happy to have made quite a few friends on Saturday.
I need to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Blackbird’s Grille in Sayville for allowing us to conduct the event. Since so many of you wanted to come but couldn’t due to the weather, now we’re announcing a second event scheduled for the spring. This will be to announce the Launch of Potholes the Audiobook which I am pleased to announce is being voiced by the very talented Kristen Nelson, also a Long Island native.
Kristen has voiced many animes including His & His Circumstances, BoogiePop Phantom and Dr. Sprout. I am honored and pleased that she will be the voicing the audiobook for Potholes.
We’re slated to begin production soon, and we will keep you posted with updates and pictures as we work on the project.
For me, this is an excellent opportunity to get back in the director’s chair. I haven’t been in that chair for nearly ten years, not since we started work on Three Brothers (aka The Turn of the Dime) in 2008. Now to do another project for so long, and have it launched through J&P Productions as an original work is very exciting.
Log onto our Facebook page for photos and videos from the party. I also have to tell you that those Pothole Cocktails were way too good! We’ll definitely be having them at the next party. Thanks to all of you for supporting the books. I am euphoric to have received your reviews and comments. I truly appreciate all that you have done.
I’d also to thank the Team behind J.Alana Giresi which makes it run so well. First of all, a big shout-out and heartfelt thank you to my editor-in-chief and Bestie Kristen Leyboldt-Ferris. She has been such a major part of the Potholes book, and for that reason, my gratitude and appreciation are not enough to express how I feel. I am so glad that you are here for this ride. I couldn’t have done this without you. Also, Kristen is also a registered NY Life Insurance Agent, and she represents my company and me too.
The second person I must thank is the very talented and amazing Roy Mauristen. Roy was busy “serving it up” at a Polar Bear Volleyball Tournament, but we know he was there in spirit. The Potholes Trailer was directed & edited by Roy, and he’ll be happy to know that such comments as “amazing” and “stupendous” were uttered during the party in reference to his trailer. Roy is also the artist who of course did the cover for the book Potholes, and I am so glad to be served by his talent. Thank you, Roy, for all that you do.
Lastly, I have to give all my love and thanks to my wonderful and supportive husband Marty. He has been very patient and loving from the beginning to now, and I can’t ask for a more supportive and wonderful husband to be on this journey called life with. Thank you, Honey. I love you.
Thanks once again to all of you for your support. I’ll give you more updates as time goes on. Enjoy Potholes and check out my other two books Billy’s Cascade & The Turn of the Dime. All three can be downloaded for free with Kindle Unlimited.
